The easiest recipe I can bet!
Ingredients:
1. Deveined prawns - 400 gms ( I have used ITC Large Prawns)
2. All purpose flour / maida - 1 cup
3. Corn flour - 2 TBsn
4. Salt - to taste
5. Pepper powder - 1 tspn
6. Sparkling Water / Soda - 250 ml
Process -
1. Add Maida, corn flour, salt and pepper powder to a bowl and mix.
2. Add sparkling water slowly and keep stirring. Batter should be flowy but not watery.
3. Take a little amount of dry maida in a plate and add 1/2 tspn of salt and 1/2 tspn pepper. We need this dry mixture to quote the prawns.
4. Make small slits on prawns horizontally. This will keep prevent the prawns to curl and keep them elongated while frying.
5. Then coat the prawns in the dry maida mixture.
6. Heat the oil for frying.
7. Dust the extra mixture and put the prawns in batter and fry for 3-4 mins turning sides. Crispy prawns will be ready.
8. Serve them hot with momo chutney and Garlic Mayonnaise.
